Resort, Hotel & Commercial Construction

T&B Log Homes have built and own three Heavy Solid Log hotels in South Africa, all graded three or four stars: The Kelway in Port Elizabeth, Knysna’s Log Inn and Graywood Hotel, also in Knysna. This experience gives us the expertise to offer hotel clients a complete turnkey project, including the design, building, finishing and equipping of the building. It should be stressed that the appeal of a HEAVY SOLID LOG hotel structure is strong worldwide, we have found that a HEAVY SOLID LOG hotel intrigues visitors and makes them eager to experience living in this type of unique natural product building. Residential & Estate Construction

T&B Log Homes have in their 30 years of operating developed (and modified) over 600 standard log cabins and house designs, ranging in size from a 20m2 octagonal rondawel to double and triple storey log homes. In general these log homes incorporate large open plan living areas, spacious outdoor and covered decks, extensive glazed areas, full length French doors and attractive interior woodwork such as hammer-beams and sloping ceilings. The double storey homes frequently have double volume spaces over the living areas and mezzanine floors at the upper level. As the homes are supported on poles, the below ground section can often be used for storage, extra accommodation, garages or workshops.
